Case 39 is a horror film that has psychology point of view
such as anxiety disorder, psychotic, personality disorder, and
hallucination.In the beginning of film, it showed a little girl (Lily)
who has problem in academic because she cannot sleep well and get
pressure from her parents. One of anxiety disorder sign is having
reduction of grade. Emily (social worker) supposed that this case is
caused by her parents whom want to kill her by grassing her in the oven.
Finally, mom and dad of Lily is busted
by police, Mom became a madwoman and her father was an inmate. Lily’s
Mom got a psychotic and then she placed in mental asylum. She thought
that she is baked in the oven and her skin burned. In fact, It is just
hallucination.
In the middle of film, the character of Lily merged
in front of Emily, she appeared strange because there is demon in Lily’
self. It started when Diego murders his parents because of phone
influence of Lily. Psychiatric (Doug) assume that Lily has personality
disorder where he saw Lily can create a threat and stimulus for someone
who communicate with Lily, and then Doug is also die after receiving
phone by Lily. Another victim is a detective (Mike) who shoots himself
by gun.
All of victim of Lily always got hallucination before dying
such as her father, Doug, and Mike as well as Emily. Although, Emily
did not acquire a death but she obtained a terrible fright.
In my
conclusion, this film is not only contributing a horror scene, but it is
also providing knowledge regarding psychology. Demons can command
someone to act anything, so people have to reinforce themselves.
